BRUCE MILROY

Founding Operations Director (Retired)

Bruce has specialised in the field of leadership development and the psychology of organisational change for over 25 years and has worked across the globe. He regularly consults and coaches at Board level in both UK-based and global organisations, in industries such as Media, Education, Government, Utilities, Financial Services, I.T., Professional Services and FMCG.  He is known as a direct and honest facilitator helping individuals and teams to resolve business issues fast. He is a highly skilled coach, facilitator and public speaker, a qualified NLP Practitioner and a guest lecturer for the Graduate School, Roosevelt University, Chicago, and Durham Business School in the UK. His project-list is extensive including clients who are among the most well-known household names:  sportscotland, UK Sport, esure and the University of Leeds.

GWYN WILLIAMS

Founding Strategy Director

Drawing on over 22 years’ experience in business management and leadership, Gwyn specialises in facilitating senior leaders and their teams to successfully address personal and business challenges. He consults at board level in a number of sectors, including Pharmaceuticals, Utilities, Software, Financial Services and the Public Sector, and is widely admired among our client base for his innovative approach and his light but perceptible touch.  Through him, senior leaders map and deliver full-scale organisational change, developing their vision and values to support this, and embed valuable learning through robust, bespoke leadership development programmes. Gwyn’s client portfolio includes Handelsbanken and the University of Leeds.

LOU KENNEDY

Senior Consultant

Over the last 15 years, Lou has coached and facilitated senior managers and leaders across a broad spectrum of industries including IT, Financial Services, Public Sector bodies and Utilities. Lou operates at board level and has recently delivered a large change programme in a key client, resulting in a series of highly successful partnership conferences which have significantly improved the perception and image of the client organisation with their stakeholder audience. She is described as someone who quickly ‘tunes in’ to patterns of behaviour and helps individuals identify dysfunctional aspects of their performance. Her coaching style is to probe gently and encourage open conversations that uncover issues requiring attention.

 

Lou has a strong reputation for not letting people off the hook and has been highly effective as an executive coach.  This particular characteristic allows her to operate very effectively with individuals who may express reservation or reluctance during the course of any programme, and she is able to work with these individuals on a one-to-one basis while any residual issues are resolved. CLARE MOORE

Senior Consultant

Clare has over 15 years’ senior management experience in two major Blue Chip companies: British Airways and Telewest Broadband, operating within Sales, Marketing and Customer Service departments. Clare led a recent change intervention involving over 100 senior leaders going through development centres, a 12-month leadership programme and a series of 1-2-1 coaching interventions. Her highly interactive and engaging approach mean she can operate comfortably and confidently with senior managers in a range of contexts and can draw on her knowledge and understanding of different operational contexts to facilitate the process of driving organisational and behavioural change.

 

Clare is a fully accredited coach and member of the Association for Coaching and has coached and trained Board Members, Managers and Executives in a number of sectors including Telecommunications, Electronics, Engineering, Legal, Pharmaceuticals, Financial Services, Travel, Health Services and major Public Sector bodies. Her client portfolio includes:- sportscotland, University of Leeds and Kibble.

JO HOUCHIN

Senior Consultant

Jo has over 15 years’ experience in developing teams and people from a variety of professions, lawyers, engineers,  environmental scientists and restaurant managers to mention a few.  Her passion and focus are on leadership development and she is currently engaged in delivering programmes across a range of sectors including banking, construction, housing associations, hospitality and local authority.

 

Jo's workshops are energetic and fun with lively debate and involvement from participants.  Her ‘coaching’ style of facilitation provides a stretching and encouraging environment for people to explore and try-out new approaches that can easily be transferred back to the workplace.   Described as 'disarmingly insightful', Jo strives to make every learning experience a meaningful one, where there are always opportunities to raise self-awareness and therefore take away something entirely individual. Jo's portfolio includes NHS, Yorkshire Water, University of Leeds. Balfour Beatty, Samsung, Santander, Transport for London, Royal Sun Alliance and Rolls Royce.

LOUISE THOMAS

Senior Consultant

Louise has 17 years experience working in the dynamic, customer-centric, environment of First Direct, covering many diverse roles, including 16 years in learning and development with operational experience of the full learning cycle. She has strong leadership skills – 12 years of managing and developing trainers. She was instrumental in introducing and embedding a coaching culture throughout the organisation.

She works closely with OD specialists in organisations to provide learning solutions aligning to business strategy, sourcing these both internally and externally. She works with leaders and managers at all levels to maintain organisational culture and develop strategy. She possesses strong facilitation skills, being able to constructively challenge a variety of issues often involving values and beliefs.


Her portfolio includes HSBC, First Direct, Santander, Bupa, Heineken, Handelsbanken and Jumeirah Hotels.

VIC HENDERSON

Senior Consultant

Vic is a chartered occupational psychologist with a passion for bringing psychology to life in the workplace. She holds an MSc in Occupational Psychology (with Distinction). She is an associate fellow of the Division of Occupational Psychology within the British Psychological Society (BPS) and was awarded chartered status in 2000. Vic is qualified to use psychometric instruments including OPQ, Wave, Hogan, NEO, MQ, MBTI and 360 feedback. She holds a Certificate in Counselling and a postgraduate diploma in Applied Forensic Psychology. 


Vic enhances engagement/morale, generates responsibility and an appetite for action. She ensures that leaders possess the skills to sustain high performance environments through turbulent times. 
In her varied career, Vic has managed and implemented projects including harmonization through merger, organisational design, change management, strategic resourcing, talent management, role profiling and competency development, job evaluation, assessment and development process and policy. She has extensive experience in team facilitation, coaching and leadership development. 
Her project-list is extensive and includes clients (UK and international) in automotive, government, technology, healthcare, retail, third sector and academia.
